Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 11, 2023, and permission granted on May 11, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Herrero, at 12:05 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Herrero; Kacal; Allen; Jones, Venton; Lopez, Ray; and Swanson.

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which SB 1677 was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 1677, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
