Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 23, 2023, and permission granted on March 23, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Guillen, at 11:49 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Guillen; Johnson, Jarvis; Bowers; Dorazio; Goodwin; Harless; and Troxclair.
