Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 6, 2025, the House Committee on Homeland Security, Public Safety & Veterans' Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hefner, at 12:47 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hefner; Lopez, Ray; Canales; Dorazio; Hickland; Holt; McLaughlin; and Pierson.

A quorum was present.

The chair directed that the May 1, 2025 minutes for the House Committee on Homeland Security, Public Safety & Veterans' Affairs be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

The chair directed that the May 2, 2025 minutes for the House Committee on Homeland Security, Public Safety & Veterans' Affairs be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

At 12:49 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
