Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 19, 2025, and permission granted on May 19, 2025, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gates, at 5:08 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Gates; Alders; Davis, Yvonne; Hinojosa; Lopez, Ray; Morgan; and Virdell.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 291 as pending business.

The chair moved that SB 291, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion failed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Gates; Alders; Hinojosa; Virdell (4).

Nays:                           Representatives Lopez, Ray; Morgan (2).

Present, Not Voting:   Representative Davis, Yvonne (1).

Absent:                        Representatives Lalani; Hunter (2).

The chair laid out SB 3051.

The chair moved that SB 3051, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Gates; Alders; Davis, Yvonne; Hinojosa; Lopez, Ray; Morgan; Virdell (7).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Lalani; Hunter (2).

At 5:12 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
