Pursuant to a notice posted on August 1, 2025, the House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Metcalf, at 10:33 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Metcalf; DeAyala; Kerwin; Orr; and Vasut.

A quorum was present.

The Chair made opening remarks.

The committee met in a public hearing to hear invited testimony on the following topics:

(1) Texas Parks and Wildlife Department

(2) Texas Historical Commission

(3) Texas Youth Camps

(4) Texas Hotels, Campgrounds, and Lodging Industry

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

At 12:43 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
