Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Congressional Redistricting, Special was held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:06 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The following members arrived after roll was called: Senator Miles.

The Chair made opening remarks recognized other members to make opening statements.

The Chair welcomed Senator Blanco to the hearing and recognized Senator Blanco to make an opening statement. 

Witnesses providing public testimony via videoconferencing are shown on the attached list.

At 11:14 AM Senator Creighton assumed the chair.

At 11:34 AM Senator King resumed the chair.

There being no further witnesses, public testimony was closed.

There being no further business, at 2:24 PM Senator King moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
