Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Congressional Redistricting, Special was held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 7:01 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Miles presented a written Motion to Authorize Subpoenas (see attached) and moved the motion be adopted. With a record vote of 3 ayes, 6 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent, the motion failed.

Senator Alvarado presented a written Motion to Authorize Subpoenas (see attached) and moved the motion be adopted. With a record vote of 3 ayes, 6 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent, the motion failed.

There being no further business, at 7:53 PM Senator King moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
